What does the price shown on the facility's website include?
The price shown includes your room for the duration of your stay, does not include additional services and tourist tax (€ 6 per person per night, except for stays longer than 10 days).
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation policy is flexible, with 100% payment to confirm the room and in case of cancellation within one week of arrival 70% refund.
What payment methods are accepted?
Credit card, Stripe, cash or bank transfer in advance.
What credit cards are accepted?
Visa, Visa Electron, Master Card, Discover, Jcb, Diners, Maestro, Union Pay.
What is the check-in time?
Check-in begins at 10:30 a.m. and guests can leave the luggage inside the guesthouse; the room will be ready for guests from 2:00 p.m. of arrival date; the receptionist is at the desk from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Monday to Friday; for arrivals after this time, guests will receive instructions to check in independently.
Is there late check out
Yes.
With late check out, the room must be vacated at 12:00 and luggage can be stored inside luggage deposit at the guesthouse (until 6:00p.m.). The check out is free forthose who book from the site.
Can I leave my luggage?
Yes. If you book directly from our website you can leave your luggage in the luggage room for free (until 6:00p.m.). Please let us know if you prefer to leave your luggage on the day of departure upon arrival; thus, you will receive the codes for accessing luggage deposit. Luggage storage is located inside the guest house, in a private room with ensuite toilets.
How does the reception service work?
The receptionist will be at the facility from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, from Monday to Friday.

Are pets allowed?
No, animals are not allowed.
Are sheets and towels available in the room?
Yes, each bed is set with bed linen and the ensuite bathrooms are equipped with towels, toiletries and hair dryer.
Are bathroom accessories available?
Yes, each room is equipped with biodegradable bath, shampoo, soap in paper box, hair dryer and laundry bag.
Is there free Wi-Fi?
Yes, Wi-Fi is free in every room.
Do you offer transfer service to/from the airport?
Yes.
There is a transfer service to and from the airport (FCO / CIA or Termini Station), please let us know your flight reference.
A driver with a black Mercedes-Benz will be waiting for your arrival at the exit, with a sign indicating your name.
The cost of this extra service is approximately € 65.00 for 2 or 3 persons and € 95.00 from 4 to 8 persons, to be paid in cash to the driver (in the event i a night transfer- from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am there is an extra charge of € 10.00).
The transfer from the port of Civitavecchia costs € 150 each way.
The surcharge per car seat is € 10.
Are the rooms suitable for people with disabilities?
No, they are not.
What is the floor where the guesthouse is located?
The facility is located on the second floor of a historic building, with elevator; the elevator leads to the main floor where the guest house is located.
What languages do the facility staff speak?
Our staff speaks Italian, English and Spanish.
Is parking available?
We do not have parking inside the facility; however, street parking is available within the blue stripes.
The hourly rate is €1.20, the 8-hour rate is €4.00; parking tickets can be purchased at tobacconists or from vending machines located on the street.
Is the facility in a restricted traffic zone (ZTL)?
We are located in the heart of Rome, within the ZTL Centro Storico.
This privileged location guarantees you a quiet stay, away from the city traffic.
In the next faq you can read how to get to us by car.
Limited Traffic Zone: only vehicles with the appropriate permit can access it; when the zone gate is not active all vehicles can access into ZTL.
The guest house is located in the ZTL and access is 100meters away from the facility (Via Cavour corner of Via dei Serpenti).

How do I reach you?
By car
From highway A1 (Florence): exit Roma Nord, then at Settebagni continue on Via Salaria to Porta Pinciana.
Drive along Via Veneto to Piazza Barberini, continue on Via Quattro Fontane to Piazza Esquilino, turn right onto Via Cavour and proceed about 200 meters to the Guesthouse.
From the A1 highway (Naples): exit Roma Sud, continue on the Grande Raccordo Anulare towards “Casilina.”
Take the exit “Casilina – direzione centro” and continue to San Giovanni.
Then take Via Merulana in the direction of Santa Maria Maggiore, following the signs for Termini Station, turn into Via Cavour until you reach number 275 and then The Roman Empire Guest House.
Please note:
We are located in the heart of Rome, within the ZTL Centro Storico.
This privileged location guarantees you a peaceful stay, away from the city traffic.
If you arrive by car, please note that:
- The nearest access gate is only 100 meters from our facility, at the intersection of Via Cavour and Via dei Serpenti (Via degli Annibaldi).
- Access is allowed only when the ZTL gate is not active.

By train
The Guesthouse is located very close to Roma Termini Station, about a 15-minute walk on a downhill street.
From the station, take Via Cavour to the left and continue until you reach the Guesthouse.
Otherwise, you can take a cab.
You can also take the subway and get off at the first stop “Cavour,” a few meters from the Guesthouse.
By plane
From Rome Fiumicino airport: take the “Terravision” bus or the “Leonardo Express” train.
Both will take you to Termini station, from where you can walk to the Guesthouuse in 15 minutes.
From Rome Ciampino Airport: take the shuttle bus to Via Marsala, near Termini Station, and continue by foot, cab or Metro line B (stop “Cavour”).
